Patricia Bay Gas Tension Device Deployed 2020-03-03

The Pro-Oceanus GTD Pro 36-326-06 was deployed on 2020-03-03 at Patricia Bay. Patricia Bay is located in the Saanich Inlet, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. This device is a Gas Tension Device. Gas Tension Device (GTD) instruments measure gas tension, or total dissolved gas pressure. The total dissolved gas pressure in seawater is the sum of the partial pressures of all dissolved gases. The GTD operates by equilibrating a small volume of air trapped behind a semi-permeable membrane that is resistant to seawater. When the air sample is isolated from hydrostatic pressure, the measured pressure is solely from the gases in the seawater. This internal pressure is measured using a very stable pressure sensor. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.Pro-Oceanus GTD Pro 36-326-06型设备于2020年3月3日部署于帕特里夏湾（Patricia Bay）。帕特里夏湾地处温哥华岛南端的萨尼奇湾（Saanich Inlet）。该设备为气体张力装置（Gas Tension Device，简称GTD）。GTD仪器用于测量气体张力，亦即总溶解气体压力。海水中的总溶解气体压力为所有溶解气体的分压之和。该GTD的工作原理为：使截留于抗海水半透膜后方的小体积空气达到平衡状态。当该空气样本与静水压力隔离后，测得的压力仅来源于海水中的溶解气体。内部压力通过高稳定性压力传感器进行测量。本次部署采用固定式平台。此次采集的数据已完成归档，并通过加拿大海洋网络（Ocean Networks Canada）的Oceans 2.0数字基础设施对外公开共享，相关数据的质量保障与衍生数据产品制备均遵循既定规范。
