A ** height bolt** is a metal nail that is placed in a building or artwork (bridge/viaduct). A height bolt can be used to determine heights relative to Normaal Amsterdams Peil (NAP) for buildings, infrastructure and water management. The data contains the locations and heights of the bolts in Eindhoven.
**Please note:** A check must always be carried out, by passing between two height bolts. This is to prevent an incorrect height bolt or height being held.
The spread is such that there is a height bolt within 500 meters. The accuracy of the NAP height is ± 3 mm.
