The material includes both the simulation code and data used in Dang et al., gmd, Azimuthal averaging–reconstruction filtering techniques for finite-difference general circulation models in spherical geometry,2021. Meanwhile, we give a fluid advection test in polar geometry with FFT filter, Ring Average and without any filter. The codes are written in order to test the capability and advantage of Ring Average technique in handling the CFL condition in polar geometry.
