Baltimore Voting Precincts (1898-1903) and Selected Employment and Housing Variables from the 1900 Census

This dataset contains GIS data for voting precincts used in Baltimore City between 1898 and 1903 with selected population and housing data from the 1900 Census. It includes a README file, a list of references, codebook and an equivalence file containing a list of election precincts and their corresponding 1900 Census enumeration district (ED) codes from IPUMS USA. The project is part of a wider effort to link granular census microdata to election results in American urban areas in the early 20th-century to study institutional inclusion, governance and voter behavior.
