BOREAS AFM-02 WYOMING KING AIR 1994 AIRCRAFT SOUNDING DATA

The BOREAS AFM-02 team used the University of Wyoming King Air aircraft during IFCs 1, 2, and 3 in 1994 to collected pass-by-pass fluxes (and many other statistics) for the large number of level (constant altitude), straight line passes used in a variety of flight patterns. The data described here form a second set, namely soundings that were incorporated into nearly every research flight by the King Air in 1994. These soundings generally went from near the surface to above the inversion layer. Most were flown immediately after takeoff or immediately after finishing the last flux pattern of that particular day's flights. The parameters that were measured include wind direction, wind speed, west wind component (u), south wind component (v), static pressure, air dry bulb temperature, potential temperature, dewpoint, temperature, water vapor mixing ratio, and CO2 concentration. Data on the aircraft’s location, attitude, and altitude during data collection are also provided.BOREAS AFM-02研究团队于1994年的第1、2、3次密集飞行观测期（IFC）期间，使用怀俄明大学King Air型科研飞机，针对多种飞行模式下的大量水平定高（恒定高度）直线航段，逐航段采集了通量数据及诸多其他统计量。本文所述数据集为第二组数据，即1994年King Air型飞机几乎每一次科研飞行都会开展的探空观测数据。此类探空观测通常覆盖从近地面至逆温层上方的空域。多数探空飞行安排在起飞后即刻，或是当日最后一次通量观测航段结束后立即执行。本次测量的参数包括风向、风速、西风分量（u）、南风分量（v）、静压、空气干球温度、位温、露点温度、气温、水汽混合比以及二氧化碳浓度。同时还提供了数据采集阶段飞机的位置、姿态与高度相关数据。
