Transcriptional response of Drosophila melanogaster to intestinal infection with Pseudomonas entomophila

The aim of this study is to compare the gut transcriptional response of the axenic and Lactiplantibacillus plantarum-colonized fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster to intestinal infection with Pseudomonas entomophila. For this purpose, we performed transcriptional profiling of axenic and L. plantarum-colonized uninfected and infected guts, which helped us to characterize the effect of microbiota on host responses and understand the pathogen strategies to overcome them.
