Core close-up images of IODP Hole 389-M0103A@en

Collection of split cores' close-up images from the above given hole of International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Expedition 389 (Hawaiian Drowned Reefs). The offshore phase of this expedition took place between 2023-08-31 and 2023-10-31 onboard multipurpose vessel MMA Valour sailing from and to Barbers Point Harbor, Hawai'i, USA, followed by the onshore phase from 2025-02-06 to 2025-02-26 at the Bremen Core Repository (BCR) hosted at MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences, University of Bremen. Close-up photos were taken utilizing a standard photo camera by sedimentologists during visual core description of the archive half. Decision on imaged intervals was subject to the core describers in charge. The standard IODP convention for labelling follows the syntax Exp-SiteHole-CoreCoretype-Section_ImageName_IntervalTop [in cm in section]-IntervalBottom [in cm in section]. […]本数据集为国际大洋发现计划（International Ocean Discovery Program，简称IODP）389次航次（夏威夷淹没礁课题）指定钻孔的岩心劈分片段特写影像集。本次航次的海上作业阶段于2023年8月31日至2023年10月31日期间开展，作业平台为多用途科考船"MMA Valour"号，往返航点为美国夏威夷巴伯斯角港；后续陆上处理阶段于2025年2月6日至2025年2月26日，在不来梅大学海洋环境科学中心（MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences）下属的不来梅岩心库（Bremen Core Repository，简称BCR）完成。该批特写照片由沉积学家在对归档半岩心开展目视岩心描述期间，使用标准数码相机拍摄完成，待成像的岩心段由当班负责的岩心描述人员选定。影像文件的命名遵循国际大洋发现计划标准命名规范，语法格式为：航次号-站位钻孔号-岩心标识-分段编号_影像名称_分段内顶界[单位：厘米，以分段内位置计]-分段内底界[单位：厘米，以分段内位置计]。例如，文件名为389-M0096A-02R-2_Picritic-Basalt_1-18.jpg的影像，对应389次航次M0096A钻孔的2R（R代表回转取心法）岩心2分段、1至18厘米区间内的苦橄玄武岩特写画面。[…]
