This series consists of:Outward Correspondence Books: The volumes in this series provide a summary record of outward correspondence, including date of dispatch, to whom, subject and the cost of postage.Inward Correspondence: Details included are the date correspondence was received, from whom and the subject of the correspondence.In both cases, entries were made in chronological order by date of receipt and dispatch respectively. The use of registration numbers for correspondence was not part of the process.Subject to further research.
