HLA typing of a family (patient and his father) for donor selection to haploidential transplantation of hematopoetic stem cells(HSC) 1434-1, 1434-3. HLA typing 1434-1, 1434-3

Routine procedure of HLA typing of class 1 and class 2 was performed for patient (1434-1)and his father (1434-3). Father was a potential donor of HST. Patient and father had an ambiguous result in Cw locus in high resolution. The common allele of patient and mother would be Cw*03:03:01 if in position 866 is G, but we have R (GA). We suggest a nonsynonymous substitution in exon 4 and a novel allele of Cw*03 as a result.
