A dataset of Hydrodynamics and Ripple Geometry During Typhoon Doksuri at Yuandangao Beach, China

Field observations was conducted in the intertidal zone at YDA from July 27 to 31, 2023. A Bed level observation array and a hydrodynamic instrument rig were deployed near the low tide line. Experiments lasted for eight tidal cycles (defined as the period between two consecutive low tides; T1 - T8). The rig was used to measure wave characteristics, velocity fields, and suspended sediment concentrations simultaneously, while the array recorded changes in bed level with 10 probes. The spatial resolution of the data is 5 minutes.
