This dataset was developed by a research team from Texas A&M University, and consists of synthetic B-mode ultrasound images generated through finite element simulations. It is designed to serve as a benchmark for advancing motion estimation algorithms in ultrasound imaging by simulating cardiac motion. The dataset includes synthetic ultrasound images with diverse resolutions, covering multiple cardiac planes. Its construction pipeline involves reconstructing geometric models from cardiac magnetic resonance images, generating displacement and strain data via finite element simulations, and finally generating the synthetic ultrasound images using the Field II ultrasound simulation program. This dataset is primarily utilized for cardiac motion analysis, with the objective of enhancing the accuracy and reproducibility of cardiovascular disease diagnosis.
