TB-ARC RNASeq

Drug resistance in M. tuberculosis is becoming an increasing problem with the rise of multi-drug resistant (MDR-), extensively drug resistant (XDR-) and totally drug resistant (TDR-) forms of the disease. This NIAID-funded study aims to transcriptionally profile strains of M. tuberculosis using deep sequencing (RNAseq) to study their response to antibiotic exposure in order to characterize a common network of pathogen responses involved in the dynamics of antibiotic resistance.
