Map of permafrost distribution for Austria, Europe

This dataset contains a simulation of regional permafrost distribution for Austria based on the Permakart 3.0 modell developped by Schrott et al. (2012). The original model was created and calibrated using validation data from the Hohe Tauern range only. Here we used the same modelling parameter and extended the simulation to the entire Austrian Alps.
