Dataset_MODELAGEM DO CONSUMO DE ELETRICIDADE A PARTIR DE BAGAÇO DE CANA-DE-AÇÚCAR NO BRASIL: 2013 a 2021

This dataset was used to model the consumption of electricity produced from sugarcane bagasse in Brazil. The research used a balanced panel by states, from 2013 to 2021. Data were estimated by GMM. The study identified that the increase in electricity prices had a positive effect on the consumption of sugar-alcohol bioelectricity, offsetting the effect of the downward trend in recent years. From a regional point of view, the survey also showed a downward trend in consumption for the states considered more developed and a slight upward trend for the poorest regions. Price and income, analyzed together, demonstrate the existence of a systematic effect between income levels on the price elasticity of demand for electricity from sugarcane. This result is important for those responsible for conducting energy policy as they indicate that different levels of income between regions should be taken into account when proposing public policies to contain or encourage the consumption of electricity from renewable sources.

本数据集用于构建巴西甘蔗渣发电消费量的模拟模型。本研究采用2013年至2021年分州平衡面板数据，通过广义矩估计（Generalized Method of Moments, GMM）对数据进行估算。研究表明，电价上涨对糖醇生物电力的消费量具有正向影响，抵消了近年来消费下滑趋势的作用。从区域维度来看，本研究还发现，经济较为发达的州的电力消费量呈下滑态势，而欠发达地区的消费量则呈现小幅上升趋势。对电价与收入的联合分析显示，收入水平对甘蔗电力需求的价格弹性存在系统性影响。该研究结果对能源政策制定者具有重要参考价值，表明在制定抑制或鼓励可再生能源电力消费的公共政策时，应将区域间的收入水平差异纳入考量范畴。
