NRS-16666 | Financial and Administrative Records [Municipality of Balmain]

The documents in this series appear to have been arranged by the Mitchell Library. The documents have been pasted into folders and arranged in a roughly chronological order. It is unknown whether these documents were originally part of a correspondence system. The series consists of the following items: a typewritten agenda paper for an ordinary meeting of the General Council (Municipality of Balmain) on January 18, 1916, a typewritten trial balance as at 30 June, 1932, and typewritten notes regarding the construction of the memorial fountain and honour roll in Loyalty Square, Balmain. The notes are taken from extracts of the Minute Books of the General Council (NRS 15810). The purpose of the memorial was to honour all of the Balmain residents who volunteered and served in World War I. The memorial was unveiled on April 23, 1916.
