RDA Data Steward Career Tracks Working Group Data Steward Persona Methodology

This dataset includes the underlying data and information for the data steward persona methodology developed by the Research Data Alliance Data Steward Career Tracks Working Group. The dataset includes data stewardship categories and related attributes as well as a persona template and a sample persona. The categories and their related attributes are derived from desk research and co-creation workshops with global data steward communities. The categories and their related attributes describe data steward roles in research/ research-adjacent settings as well as aspects of the organizational context in which the data steward roles are situated. The categories and their attributes are intended to be used for the development of data steward personas, using the persona template included in the dataset. However, the use of these data and information is not limited for this purpose alone and we envision that the categories and their attributes can also be used for any work that intends to map, survey or study data steward roles and career paths, broadly defined.
