T Cell Genes Regulated by Short Chain Fatty Acids

This is to determine the regulation of gene expression in different T Cell population with short chain fatty acids. This will provide the roles of SCFAs in regulation of adaptive immunity and T-cell-mediated inflammation. 3 groups T-Cell Subsets (Th17, Treg and Th1) with and without Short Chain Fatty Acid (sodium acetate at 10 mM). 2 arrays were used for Th1 and Treg while 3 arrays were used for Th17. T cells isolated from mouse lymphoid tissues were activated in vitro for 6-7 days in the presence or absence of acetate.
