Acceleration Response of Nearby Buildings During Controlled Imposion - December 22, 2017

Three nearby buildings were monitored in the field during the controlled implosion of two twin 13-story reinforced concrete buildings. Accelerometer recordings are available at the ground level and roof level of the three buildings. Due to the unique controlled implosion, there are distinct responses of the building to blast loads and to the collapse of the buildings. The building responses can be reused for any research purpose, but it may have particular application to: existing or old construction response to dynamic loads; soil-structure interaction; structure-soil-structure interaction; and impacts of collapse.
