Transcriptome Sequencing of the Synthetic Mycoplasma mycoides, JCVI-syn1.0

RNA sequencing to characterize the transcriptome complexity within the genomically reduced bacterium, JCVI-syn1.0. Data includes Illumina short-read RNAseq, PacBio long-read RNAseq, and ONT direct long-read RNAseq from Syn1.0 as well as an additional replicate of ONT from Syn3A (used for comparison). Illumina and PaBio sequencing sample preparation was performed by the laboratory of Angad Mehta in the Department of Chemistry at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Sequencing was carried out by the Roy J Carver Biotechnology Center at UIUC (https://biotech.illinois.edu/). ONT sample preparation and sequencing was performed at the J. Craig Venter Institute (https://www.jcvi.org/) by their Synthetic Biology Group headed by John Glass. Analysis of the data is presented in Brier et al.
