Macrozooplankton data collected within the H2020 DOORS project in September 2023 on the Romanian shelf under the Danube's influence

The dataset contains the taxonomic and quantitative analysis of gelatinous zooplankton (jellyfish and ctenophores), collected within the DOORS Leg 2 cruise carried out within 1-10 September 2023 in the framework of Horizon 2020 Project ‘Developing Optimal and Open Research Support for the Black Sea’ (DOORS). The samples (6 samples in total) were collected in replicates using a Hensen plankton net of 70 cm diameter and the filtering mesh size of 200µm. The samples were preserved on board in buffered formaldehyde 4% for further laboratory analysis (Shiganova et al., 2021).
