Rhizosphere metagenomes of sorghum grown under combined drought and heat stress

Samples were collected from the rhizosphere of pre-release and commercial sorghum genotypes established under combined drought and heat stress conditions as well as under well watered conditions in Zimbabwe. The objective was to depict plant genotype effect in shaping microbial populations in the rhizosphere environment as a defense mechanism to abiotic stresses.
