Nuclear (ITS) and plastid (psbA-trnH, trnF-trnL, trnL-rpl32, trnQ-rps16) DNA sequence alignments for the taxonomic revision of Armeria (Plumbaginaceae) in peninsular Italy and Sicily published in Taxon.
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the nuclear ribosomal (ITS1–5.8S–ITS2) and plastid (psbA-trnH, trnF-trnL, trnL-rpl32, trnQ-rps16 intergenic spacers) DNA sequence alignments generated for the molecular phylogenetic analyses and genetic species delimitation (ASAP) presented in: Tiburtini, M., Bacchetta, G., Bartolucci, F., Bernardo, L., Conti, F., Di Iorio, E., Domina, G., Iamonico, D., Iberite, M., Paino, L., Sarigu, M., Caputo, P. & Peruzzi, L. (2026). A revision of the genus Armeria (Plumbaginaceae) in peninsular Italy and Sicily through an integrative taxonomic approach. Taxon. Sampling covered 21 populations (three individuals per population, 63 accessions in total) representing Armeria aspromontana, A. brutia, A. canescens (Croatia), A. denticulata, A. garganica, A. gracilis subsp. gracilis, A. gracilis subsp. majellensis, A. gussonei, A. macropoda, A. nebrodensis and A. saviana, rooted with A. pungens as outgroup. The ITS consensus alignment is 806 bp long; the concatenated plastid alignment is 1557 bp (trnF-trnL: 311 bp; psbA-trnH: 322 bp; trnL-rpl32: 573 bp; trnQ-rps16: 351 bp). Sequences were edited and aligned in BioEdit v.7.2.5 and ClustalW, and evolutionary models were selected with jModelTest v.2.1.10 under the Bayesian information criterion. Individual raw sequences underlying these alignments are separately archived in DDBJ under accession numbers: ITS LC861360–LC861422; psbA-trnH LC861423–LC861485; trnF-trnL LC861486–LC861545; trnL-rpl32 LC861546–LC861607; trnQ-rps16 LC861608–LC861666. Full voucher, locality and collector information for each accession is provided in Appendix 1 and Appendix 2 of the associated publication.
