Dataset on 2025 Library Week Activities in Nigerian Libraries This dataset provides structured empirical evidence on the planning, implementation, outcomes and challenges of Library Week and Cultural Week activities organised by libraries in Nigeria. It captures institutional practices related to programme design, community engagement and cultural heritage promotion, offering insight into how libraries deliver advocacy, educational and professional activities through nationally coordinated events. Data were collected through a structured survey administered to library representatives directly involved in organising Library Week activities. Responses reflect institutional perspectives rather than individual participant opinions. The instrument comprised mainly closed-ended questions with categorical response options, supplemented by selected open feedback items that were thematically coded. Descriptive statistics were applied to summarise frequencies and percentages across variables. The dataset is organised into thematic sections covering types of activities undertaken, stated objectives, categories of participants, perceived outcomes and impacts, operational challenges, and institutional comments and recommendations directed at national leadership. Additional variables describe event duration, levels of participant engagement and satisfaction, and estimated attendance figures, allowing assessment of event scale and effectiveness. The data relate to Library Week and Cultural Week activities conducted by Nigerian libraries, with specific reference to the 2025 Cultural Week planning cycle. The dataset is provided in SPSS format to facilitate quantitative analysis, replication, comparative studies and methodological training. No personal or sensitive data are included, ensuring ethical compliance and institutional confidentiality.
