Trip data and user survey data for evaluating King County Metro’s Carpool Incentive Fund program

The dataset contains two data files, an app-based carpooling trip data file, and a user survey data file. The trip data file includes the following information for all the app-based carpooling trips (n= 204,979) that received incentives between December 2018 and April 2019: trip origin/destination (at census tract level), trip starting time and date, trip occupancy, travel distance, the original trip cost and the amount of incentive. The user survey data file contains the survey responses for 342 app-based carpooling users, which have information on their prior travel behaviors and mode shifts, socio-demographic characteristics, user habits, and user preferences. The survey data were collected between February 2019 and May 2019.
