[C4OC] Restoring and Protecting Coastal Environments and Urban Waterways in the South Coast of WA

This sub project supports community and partners to protect coastal environments and urban waterways, ecological communities, and EPBC species across coastal environments of the South Coast NRM Region. The project will be delivered over 5 years in priority sites identified by the community and partner organisations under the guidance of the Regional NRM Strategy ‘Southern Prospects’ and the Regional Coastal Strategy 'Southern Shores'.
Coastal community groups including Indigenous, land managers, schools and coastal users will be engaged in on-ground coastal and waterway protection, education and capacity building activities. The project will directly involve coastal communities in partnerships with managers to protect and enhance healthy coasts in the South Coast NRM Region in a changing climate.
Activities will include:
>Coastal environment protection and rehabilitation works across the South Coast Region;
>Restoration and rehabilitation of the Yakamia Creek, Albany urban waterway; and
>Coastal community group including Indigenous engagement and participation in education, skills and knowledge activities relating to coastal environments across the South Coast Region.

本项目将依托区域自然资源管理战略《南方愿景》（Southern Prospects）与区域海岸战略《南海岸》（Southern Shores）的指引，在社区及合作机构划定的优先区域内开展，实施周期为5年。

包括原住民群体、土地管理者、学校及海岸使用者在内的沿海社区团体，将参与实地海岸与水道保护、教育及能力建设活动。
在气候变化的背景下，本项目将推动沿海社区与管理者建立合作关系，直接参与南海岸自然资源管理区健康海岸的保护与提质工作。

项目活动涵盖：
> 在南海岸全域开展海岸环境保护与修复工程；
> 对奥尔巴尼城市水道亚卡米亚溪（Yakamia Creek）进行修复整治；
> 组织包括原住民群体在内的沿海社区团体，参与南海岸区域内与海岸环境相关的教育、技能培训及知识普及活动。
