Parkes observations for project P361 semester 2007APRS

We propose to continue our studies of Southern relativistic binary pulsars\nto place stringent limits on General Relativity, pulsar masses, and to map \nout the emission cone of PSR J1141--6545, which we have established is \nundergoing rapid profile evolution. In light of our recent results, we \nwould like to continue our current, 2-monthly rate of observations of \nthis pulsar. Our instrumentation is the most sensitive to the evolution of \ncomplex features in the double pulsar's profile at 50cm wavelength which \nwe aim to monitor on an annual basis.

本研究拟延续针对南天相对论双脉冲星的相关研究工作，以期对广义相对论（General Relativity）、脉冲星（pulsar）质量施加严格约束，并绘制我们已证实正经历快速脉冲轮廓演化的PSR J1141–6545的射电辐射锥（emission cone）。
鉴于我们近期取得的研究成果，我们计划延续当前针对该脉冲星的观测节奏，即每2个月开展一次观测。
我们所使用的观测设备在50厘米波段下，对双脉冲星（double pulsar）脉冲轮廓内复杂结构的演化具有最高灵敏度，我们拟每年对该演化过程开展一次监测。
