Waterfowl and Waterbird in NH Wetlands (Derived from NWI Plus)

This GIS layer models the potential of wetlands in New Hampshire to serve as habitat for waterfowl and waterbirds. Developed from the National Wetlands Inventory Plus (NWI Plus), the dataset integrates hydrology, landscape position, and wetland characteristics to assess the likelihood that a wetland supports bird species reliant on aquatic and semi-aquatic environments. Maintained by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES), the layer is designed for use in habitat conservation planning, wildlife assessments, and ecological restoration efforts.
