Sequencing a panel of 22 French local chicken breeds

This study produced a reference panel to monitor genetic diversity of chicken breeds in France, on a temporal scale as well as on a spatial scale, with 1 to 7 samples per breed. The samples come from the INRAE @BRIDGe biobank and were obtained from farms and a breeding centre in France between 2011 and 2013 except one collected in 2004. The data have been provided to the Chicken Genomics Diversity Consortium to contribute to a catalogue of genetic variants in chickens, worldwide. This project belongs to the data source 'IMAGE_CRB-Anim'.
