This dataset supports all the experiments, simulations, surrogate modeling, and optimization analyses described in the paper title "Combining Data-Driven and Model-Driven methods to support Digital-Twin Engineering Design: A Case Study for the (Re)design Optimization of a Quadcopter". It includes: Simulation Dataset:Over 1500 CAE simulation results (in CSV/Excel format), covering variations in design parameters, material properties, and boundary conditions. Each entry includes: Experimental Propeller Data:Thrust, torque, and RPM measurements for three types of propellers across a range of speeds, used to define boundary conditions for simulation. Surrogate Modeling Scripts:MATLAB scripts used to train and evaluate different surrogate models, including DMDc, neural networks, and Response Surface Modeling (RSM). Optimization Scripts:MATLAB and modeFRONTIER scripts for running multi-objective optimization using GA, NSGA-II, and Pareto search. Includes configuration files, objective definitions, and outputs. Annotated Plots and Figures:Pre-generated figures and plotting scripts used for visualizing simulation results, optimization outcomes, and model comparisons. README File:A comprehensive README file is included, describing the structure of the dataset, instructions for reproducing key steps, software dependencies, and citation guidelines. The dataset will be made publicly available upon publication. Prior to that, access may be granted to editors and reviewers upon request via email. Once approved, full access will be provided, including all scripts and annotated datasets necessary for replication or extension of this work.
