Energy balance and costs VOC reduction in the sheet industry

The study complements the report of the Federal Environment Agency on the state of the art for the chipboard and fibreboard industry (REP-0438) with energy balances and exhaust air cleaning costs for particleboard and MDF production. Based on the energy balances for two standardised model plants, the exhaust air purification systems are regenerative after-incineration (RNV; compared with and without heat recovery) and (organic) wafers for particleboard and MDF production. For this purpose, the respective energy requirements as well as emissions of volatile organic carbon compounds (VOCs), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and carbon dioxide (CO2) were used. In addition, the study contains the operating and investment costs of the two exhaust air purification systems, which are set in relation to the product price. The specific VOC reduction costs are also calculated.本研究为联邦环境署（Federal Environment Agency）发布的刨花板与纤维板行业技术现状报告（REP-0438）补充了刨花板及中密度纤维板（MDF）生产的能源平衡与废气净化成本。本研究基于两座标准化示范工厂的能源平衡数据，选取了适用于刨花板及MDF生产的两类废气净化系统：一类为蓄热式后焚烧装置（RNV，涵盖热回收与无热回收两种工况），另一类为（有机）转轮净化系统。为此，本研究采用了各系统的能源需求数据，以及挥发性有机碳化合物（volatile organic carbon compounds, VOCs）、氮氧化物（NOₓ）与二氧化碳（CO₂）的排放数据。此外，本研究还涵盖了两种废气净化系统的运营与投资成本，并将其与产品价格进行关联分析，同时计算了单位VOC削减成本。
