Application of chiral P,N,N-ligands in the manganese-catalyzed
formal asymmetric hydroamination of allylic alcohols through a borrowing-hydrogen
strategy was demonstrated. A series of racemic allylic alcohols could
react with various secondary amines, affording chiral γ-amino
alcohols in up to 93% yield with 96% ee.
