Soil Map of the Piedmont Region 1:50,000.Reports the geometries of the cartographic units, defined according to criteria of pedogenesis and functional properties of the soil, describing them according to the geography and relative distribution of the different typological units of soil that characterize it.Derived maps identify individual characteristics of soils or analyze soil information in relation to other information levels, making cartographically identifiable limitations and attitudes of soils or specific environmental criticalities. Among these, the map of land use capacity, differentiating land according to its possible uses, is certainly the most well-known and used tool in land-use, agricultural, environmental and urban planning. Its use must be carried out taking into account the resulting geographical information limit: the approximation is therefore relative to the scale of study and any enlargements can generate interpretative errors.
