Jobcenter team.arbeit.hamburg is a joint institution of the Employment Agency Hamburg and the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. It supports people in their integration into education and work and provides services to secure their livelihoods according to the Second Book of the Social Code (SGB II). 18 locations of Jobcenter team.arbeit.hamburg are spread across Hamburg. Jurisdiction depends on different catchment areas and results from where a person has his/her last or current registration address or habitual residence. In addition, there are special locations for people without permanent residence, for severely disabled people and for the self-employed. The youth profession agency Hamburg accompanies young people and young adults on their way to work. It is the contact point for all questions relating to education and studies as well as the management of personal or family problems that impair the way into working life. The competence of the Youth Employment Agency is by no means limited to young people in need of special support. The seven locations of the Youth Employment Agency work closely and in coordination with equivalent partners. In two years, standardised business processes were developed in close cooperation. This continuous interconnection ensures that under 25-year-olds with their different questions, concerns and support needs can be helped from a single source. The contact point W.I.R., work and integration for refugees, advises refugees and employers on foreign national law issues on training or employment.
