资源简介:
This manuscript presents the results of a retrospective study which was conducted to evaluate for factors associated with the time to treatment (chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy) for patients with mycosis fungoides (MF). For the treatment of MF, treatment modalities such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation have been described with varying degrees of effectiveness. However, factors contributing to the time of receipt of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or radiation for patients with MF have not been reported within the literature. Our study revealed that Black patients with MF were 39% and 86% more likely to experience delays in time to chemotherapy (TTC) and time to radiation (TTR) compared to White patients respectively, after adjusting for sociodemographic and clinical factors. Within the study, Hispanic patients with MF were 73% and 70% more likely to experience delays in TTC and TTR compared to non-Hispanic patients respectively, after adjusting for clinical and sociodemographic factors. This study supports the need for further studies that will ultimately unearth barriers to care for Black and Hispanic patients with MF. This supplemental document contains the methods and sociodemographic characteristics of the study population.
