Dataset from an obstacle circumvention task performed during overground walking in the real world (OVG-RW) and omnidirectional treadmills combined in virtual reality (ODT-VR).
The task involved circumventing a stationary interferer and circumvention strategies were contrasted between conditions.
Four consecutive blocks of trials were performed to examine the effect of practice.
Dataset 1 contains the values for each trial with an interferer interaction for the following outcome measures: minimum distance, maximum deviation, onset distance, minimum velocity, average velocity, and maximum velocity.
Dataset 2 contains trial average velocity values for each trial without and interferer.
