## **Abstract** \n\nThe dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from the Groundwater Modelling Report for Rocky Hill Coal Project dataset. The source dataset is identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.\n\n\n\nThe dataset is a shapefile representing the approximate extents of the open cut pits (both existing and proposed) for the Rocky Hill coal mine in the Gloucester subregion. These were digitised from map images taken from Australian Groundwater & Environmental Consultants Pty Ltd (2013) Report number 806/04 Vols, Part 4 Groundwater Assessment, Figure 47, pp 4-106.\n\n\n\nhttp://www.rockyhillproject.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/80604-Vol-2_Part-4-Groundwater.pdf\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nA map image from the report listed below was scanned. These were georectified to MGA 56 geotiffs using recognised features of known locations in the various map images as control points (eg road junctions, corners of administrative boundaries etc). \n\n\n\nSelected features representing the open cut pits (both existing and proposed) shown on the map were manually digitised off the computer screen using a georectified map as a backdrop. Features were saved as ESRI shapefiles in the MGA z56 projection. ## **数据集历史**
对下述报告中的地图影像进行扫描后，以各类地图影像中已知位置的特征点（如道路交叉口、行政边界拐点等）作为控制点，将扫描影像地理校正为MGA 56地理栅格（geotiff）文件。

以地理校正后的地图为底图，在电脑屏幕上手动数字化提取地图中代表露天采场（现有及规划）的选定要素。提取得到的要素以ESRI形状文件格式保存，并采用MGA z56投影坐标系。采场在属性表中被分别标记为“现有”或“规划”类型。
