Volume magnetic susceptibility of sediments from the Ioffe Drift (South Atlantic)

The magnetic susceptibility was measured on split-cores using the MSCL XYZ core workstation (Bartington MS3 system with Bartington MS2E sensor. Split-cores were covered with Chemplex Prolene 416 film - 4.0μm. step (downcore resolution): 0.5 cm; measurement time - 1 second; zero (in air) measurment - after each sample measurement; The location, depth and length of the studied cores are given in List_of_cores_MS.xlsx本研究采用MSCL XYZ型岩芯工作站（搭载Bartington MS3系统及Bartington MS2E传感器）对剖开岩芯（split-cores）开展磁化率（magnetic susceptibility）测量；所有剖开岩芯表面均覆盖有厚度为4.0μm的Chemplex Prolene 416薄膜。 采样步长（岩芯垂向分辨率，downcore resolution）为0.5厘米； 单次测量时长为1秒； 空气零点测量：每完成一件样品测量后即开展一次空气零点校准； 供研究岩芯的位置、深度及长度信息详见List_of_cores_MS.xlsx文件
