A transcriptomic response to the knockdown or partial deletion mutations of the sex-specifically spliced 007 gene in Anopheles gambiae

The study aims at understanding the genome-wide transcriptomic response in homozygous transgenic strains of the African malaria mosquito Anopheles gambiae to a stable knockdown of a gene named 007 (AGAP005748) or to deletion mutations within the part of the 007 that produces a male-specific transcript. The RNA samples from the third instar larvae and/or 24 h-old pupae were sequenced using Illumina NovaSeq6000 platform.
