Chitin-glucan (CG), an insoluble dietary fibre, has been shown to improve cardiometabolic disorders associated with obesity in mice. Its effects in healthy subjects has recently been studied, revealing the interaction of CG with the gut microbiota. In this exploratory study, we aimed at characterizing the impacts of CG on gut microbiota composition and functions as well as on metabolic profile in subjects at cardiometabolic risk.
