Hebrew version is followed by the English: מאגר זה כולל את תיעוד השדה וחומרי המחקר הראשוניים של סקר המערות המתמשך בנחל מכמש (ואדי סויניט) ויובליו, הנערך מאז שנת 2024 בידי צוות משותף מאוניברסיטת אריאל, המרכז לחקר מערות באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים ומתנדבי מועדון שוחרי המערות הישראלי. מערך הנתונים כולל תצלומי שדה נבחרים, תצלומי פנורמה, מפות מערות, תיעוד RTI, נתוני GIS ורישומים ארכיאולוגיים וספלאולוגיים ראשוניים ממערות שנסקרו בוואדי אל־חביבי ובאזורים סמוכים בנחל מכמש. החומר מלווה את המאמר: אסף גייער ובועז לנגפורד,״סקר המערות בנחל מכמש ויובליו – דיווח ראשוני״. מטרת הסקר היא לתעד באופן שיטתי את המרחב התת־קרקעי של הנחל, לרבות מערות טבעיות, מערות מפלט, מכלולי נזורה, בורות מים ומחסות סלע, ללא סינון מוקדם על בסיס מאפיינים אדריכליים. החומר המתפרסם כאן הוא ראשוני ועשוי להתעדכן עם התקדמות הסקר והשלמת ניתוחים נוספים. בעת שימוש בחומרים אלה, יש לצטט את המאמר הנלווה ואת מספר ה־DOI של מאגר Zenodo. This repository contains the raw documentation and preliminary research data from the ongoing cave survey conducted in Naḥal Mikhmas (Wadi Suweinit) and its tributaries between 2024–2026 by a joint team from Ariel University, the Cave Research Center at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and volunteers from the Israeli Cave Explorers Club. The dataset includes selected field photographs, panoramic images, cave maps, RTI documentation, GIS data, and preliminary archaeological and speleological records from caves surveyed in Wadi al-Ḥabibi and adjacent sectors of Naḥal Mikhmas. The material accompanies the article: Asaf Gayer and Boaz Langford, “Cave Survey in Naḥal Mikhmas and Its Tributaries: Preliminary Report.” The survey seeks to document the full subterranean landscape of the wadi, including natural caves, refuge caves, monastic complexes, cisterns, and rock shelters, without prior selection based on architectural modification. The material published here is preliminary and may be updated as the survey progresses and additional analyses are completed.
