Sediments of Boston Harbor acquired in 1968 (MENCHER shapefile)

A study was made of the composition, grain-size distribution, and organic content of grab samples collected from Boston Harbor. In general, the coarsest mean sizes occur in the channels scoured by dredging or tidal action, and the finest in areas where no dredging has occurred and where tidal velocities are at a minimum.本研究针对从波士顿港（Boston Harbor）采集的抓斗采样样品的组成、粒度分布与有机质含量开展了分析。总体而言，平均粒径最粗的区域多分布于受疏浚或潮汐作用冲刷的航道内，而平均粒径最细的区域则位于未实施疏浚作业且潮汐流速最低的区域。
