The blood RNA-seq data for dairy cows

Twenty-three healthy and lactating Holstein cows receiving similar feeding and management practices from a dairy farm were used for sample collection as RNA-seq dataset. Peripheral blood sample from these 23 individuals were collected at the lactation stage of DIM 100 to 200 in lactations 1 and 2. Peripheral venous blood (10 mL) was collected through the coccygeal vein into EDTA tubes. These blood samples were centrifuged at 3,500 rpm for 15 min within 1 h. The buffy coat (leukocytes) was immediately separated into new tubes, after adding 1 mL Trizol (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA, USA). Samples were frozen at –20℃ and then stored at –80℃ before RNA isolation.
