资源简介:
We recently obtained a Chandra observation of the shelltype radio supernovaremnant G12.820.02 coincident with a HESS TeV gammaray source. The data revealan Xray point source surrounded by a bright nebula at the center of the remnantshell. The properties of this system lead to only one possible conclusion: ayoung (<20kyr), highly energetic (>4E36 erg/s) pulsar powering a substantialwind nebula associated with the supernova remnant. An XMM observation would havean excellent chance of detecting the expected pulsations, critical fordetermining the energetics of the system and resolving the nature of theobserved TeV emission. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
