Odor and bacterial signatures for humans that attract different mosquito species

This goal of this study was to identify odor and bacterial signatures that attract three different mosquito species: Ae. aegypti, Ae. albopictus, and Cx. quinquefasciatus. We characterized the relative attractiveness of 119 participants in Miami, Florida to these mosquitoes, and odor profiles and microbiomes of each participant were collected. We detected skin microbes from 113 participants using full-length 16S sequencing.
