Agricultural production data in the Northern Hemisphere permafrost regions

This dataset contains province-level crop area and production data for countries located within permafrost regions, covering the period 1982–2020. The data were collected from official national statistical agencies of the respective countries and represent raw, unprocessed records prior to any harmonization or analysis.The dataset focuses on agricultural production in permafrost-affected regions, providing long-term time series information that can be used to examine spatial and temporal variations in crop cultivation under cold-climate conditions. Both cultivated area and crop yield/production variables are included at the subnational (province/state) scale, enabling detailed regional analyses.This dataset is intended to support research on climate change impacts, agricultural adaptation, and food production dynamics in high-latitude and permafrost regions.
