Digital Archive from an Archaeological Watching Brief at Fiskerton Flood Embankment, River Witham, Fiskerton, Lincolnshire, October and November 2024

This collection consists of site images and records, GIS data, and a report from archaeological monitoring of remediation and repair works on sections of the embankment on the north side of the River Witham, Fiskerton, Lincolnshire, following slippage during Storm Babet in 2023. The works were conducted by Wessex Archaeology. Area 1 was monitored on the 10 October 2024. Area 2 was monitored on 22 November and 26 November 2024. No archaeological remains or deposits were revealed during the monitoring works. No archaeological remains or deposits were encountered during the remediation of the embankment. No excavations of the embankment proceeded deeper than the ground level at the base of the embankment.
