RNA-seq was performed on Clostridium phytofermentans ISDg duplicate log-phase cultures (cultures A and B) belonging to two treatments: no ferulate addition (minus-ferulate) and 2 g/L ferulate addition (+ferulate). Samples were collected for RNA-seq immediately before ferulate addition (t=0h), 30 min after addition, and 4h after addition.
