资源简介:
AbstractChildhood obesity affects children's health and increases the risks of obesity-related disorders in adulthood, while the biological mechanism remains unknown. Gut microbiota is significantly affected by childhood obesity and, in turn, contributes to host metabolism. In order to reveal the contribution of gut microbiota to the predisposition to adulthood obesity impacted by childhood obesity, we profiled the gut microbiota of children and mice with childhood obesity. We assessed its impacts on metabolic alterations, gut vascular barrier (GVB) impairment and immunocytes differentiation, dependent on dietary intervention age. Additionally, we assessed the contribution of gut microbiota on the predisposition to obesity using faecal microbiota transplantation (FMT).
