Catalytic polymer deconstruction, as part of strategies to manage carbon resources and solid waste, is predicated on an assumption that advances and foundational insights from sealed-batch experiments will be transferable to continuous processes. This investigation quantified and characterized all hydrocarbon products from catalytic hydrogenolysis of polyolefins under a flowing reactive/carrier gas in a semi-flow reactor for kinetic and mechanistic comparisons to typical experiments in sealed batch reactors. This dataset characterizes the products from these hydrogenolysis reactions using GC-FID for headspace gases, GC-MS, GC-FID for liquids, and NMR. Files include .csv, .emf, .pdf, and .fid formats.
