We used a reduced-representation sequencing approach (ddRADseq) to generate tens of thousands of SNPs across the genomes of two hybridizing woodrat species in Southern, CA, USA. We identify the potential intrinsic and extrinsic barriers that limit interspecific gene-flow between Neotoma bryanti and N. lepida, we used genome-wide analyses to identify hybridization frequency and signatures of genomic introgression and demographic modeling from a mark and recapture study to model apparent survival rates of woodrats of different ancestries.
